Bank of America is telling investors to buy BWX Technologies, DraftKings and Grocery Outlet Holdings before they report third-quarter results, backing each name with a different argument.

The companies span nuclear components, sports betting and grocery retail, and share little beyond the timing of their earnings.

Two reach the list through rating upgrades, while the third keeps its “Buy” rating despite a lower price target.

All three report within weeks, and the investment firm’s analysts say that shifting expectations or operating changes already favor buyers.

BWX Technologies (BWXT)

BWX has lost about 17% of its value in 2026, yet Bank of America analyst Ronald Epstein kept his Buy rating after the company’s investor day.

Epstein said the nuclear components maker’s financial profile now differs markedly from the last investor day, with metrics improving across the board and management gaining flexibility.

The bank also points to the breadth of demand – nuclear energy generally, the overlap of energy, economic and national security, and two long-term markets in AI and defense fuels.

Epstein says BWXT stock remains a buy heading into quarterly results, which are due in early November.

Consensus is for the company to report $1.19 a share of earnings, representing about a 19% growth on a year-over-year basis.

DraftKings (DKNG)

After roughly a year on the sidelines, Bank of America has upgraded DraftKings stock to Buy from Hold.

Analyst Julie Hoover had held back because prediction markets complicated the sports betting company’s outlook and left estimates exposed to material risk.

She now calls prediction markets a “win-win,” sees less risk of cannibalization and believes Street estimates are bottoming.

The shares have dropped 47% over the past year and 44% in 2026, a pullback she describes as an attractive opportunity.

Her case pairs a reassessment of the competitive threat with a much lower starting price, and the bank says several positive catalysts are close at hand.

DraftKings is scheduled to report later this month. Consensus is for the company to record $0.23 per share of loss, which would represent about a 44% improvement from last year.

Grocery Outlet Holdings (GO)

Grocery Outlet is the only one of the three stocks trading higher this year, up 18%.

Analyst Robert Ohmes upgraded the shares to Buy from Neutral, citing an “EPS rebound” as cheaper opportunistic merchandise lifts traffic and basket size, and e-commerce prices now match those on DoorDash, Uber Eats and Instacart.

Together, he argues, the two changes give the shares a more favorable risk-reward outlook, even after this year’s gain.

Ohmes says the shares are too attractive to ignore, and the bank is impressed by management’s execution, helped by new leadership in store operations, supply chain and marketing.

Grocery Outlet reports on October 21. Interestingly, though, it’s expected to record $0.11 per share of earnings – a 47% decline on a year-over-year basis.
